Inside Me

its been awhile...as it always is between my blogs, it seems. my week was pretty good. No school so that defines good right there. Mike came over monday and we went to see LOTR...it was my second time seeing it because I saw it on sunday with my parents. Good movie, but long. no matter. Then we tried to go shopping but I was pretty tired so we just went home after buying like..one thing...the lines at best buy were inSANE...as were the lines everywhere else. Mike slept over monday night and tuesday we got some hardcore shopping done. We went to the mall and got all our last minute shopping DONE. Then we came home and wrapped it all. I love going shopping when you actually get what u set out to get. If I dont get what I set out to get it just frusterates me.

Wednesday I cleaned my room (which is already a PIG sty again...go figure I haven't even been home to mess it up) and did other things I needed to get done until Christmas eve service, which I played the maracas for, to accompany the kids' singing. :-P. EVERYONE was at church, as they usually are on one of the two days everybody goes to church (christmas and easter). I talked to a few ppl I haven't talked to in awhile so that was nice. Then I went home and watched 'a christmas story' and 'its a wonderful life' Classic. I think I watched a christmas story like 3 times actually thruout the night because they play it for 24 hours. that movie is great. Then I went to Candlelight service and at the last minute my dad decided to go with me. It was nice, I love candles, and I love music, so I love candlelight service :)

Thursday was christmas of course silly! It was a good christmas. I got a lot of cute little things that I wasn't expecting and my family all loved the gifts I got them. After we had our family christmas at home we went to my grandma's to celebrate with my dad's side.

Friday we went to my grandpa and grandma's to celebrate with my mom's side. The present opening on my mom's side was lame this year because there were only three presents under the tree due to the rule that once cousins hit 18 they dont get presents from aunts and uncles anymore, and my grandparents hand out checks instead of wrapping things. So there were only 3 kids there uner 18 so it went really quick thats for sure. my cousin caitlin came home with us friday night to spend the weekend with my sister. Her and my sister were being pretty silly. Caitlin dressed up like a fat french lady and they found it quite hilarious.

I spent most of saturday cashing in gift certificates and going shopping.

Sunday I went over to mike's for his birthday. I got a speeding ticket on the way up in walworth. I was going 40 in a 25 zone. That place is a speed trap to begin with. And wisconsin cops suck:P. But I guess I deserved it, I WAS going over the speed limit. BUt i didn't even notice because I was too busy looking for route 14. Excuses excuses I know. But 181 dollars. grr. my first speeding ticket too. out of state. hmm. When I got to mike's I met his family because I've never met them before. They were all really nice. Then we went to piggly wiggly to get some chips and stuff and I ran into this girl that I hung out with at camp phillip fall retreat sophmore year and that I haven't seen since then. It was kinda weird, but I waved and went over and said hello. She seemed highly confused as to why I was in beaver dam at a piggly wiggly when she knew i Lived in IL...lol. After awhile elliott came over, and then one of mike's sister melissa's friends came over, and we all walked to a video store to get a few movies, but they didn't have some so we had to drive to another one. We watched catch me if u can and then jess and karen came over. It was a good time we watched movies...or tried to...and took a walk down to the dam around 2 or 3 am. On the way we played leap frog and kidnapped an abadoned christmas tree by the side of the road which we named and dragged along behind us about half way. hehe. then we tried to get to sleep. I did sleep for like an hour or two, but woke up again to watch a movie, and jess and karen left. I dont think I actually fell into a good sleep until about 7:30 or 8 and then I slept until 10:30 or 11. So I was pretty tired on my 2 1/2 hour drive home. I played a lot of music...loud...and except for a slight mixup in fort involving 12, I got home alright.

so ya thats prety mcuh short hand of my last week. I should write tehse things daily so I can get more in-depth :-P hehe.

  I love brownies with milk.

just a thought.

so yeah I guess I haven't written in here for awhile....last weekend was pretty low on the fun meter, but I had a job and a rehearsel for another job that's today actually...which means I'm making money so I can afford christmas presents...which, yes, I haven't bought yet, I know it's 5 days until christmas but hey, I'll get there.

I thought last week was going to be the SLOWEST week ever because it's the one right before break, but surprisingly, it really flew by. I didn't feel impatient once. yesterday we did absolutely NOTHING in school. I think I watched like 3 movies, played a game, went to the chapel, and had a few free periods. Fr. Glab's jr. religion class came and christmas caroled to us during comp speech class. that was fun. Second hour the class next door just bought mr. morrison (sp?) a new stereo, so they were having a par-tay. hehe. I went in there for awhile so I could have some of the jrs fill out my morality survey. I made it for psychology class because I'm doing a paper or project or something on opinions among young people about premarital intercourse. Basically, it's a quiz about sex. It asks ppl questions like whther or not ppl think premarital sex is wrong, and what they think is an ok age to start having sex. But it also asks a few personal questions like if they're a virgin and at what age they lost their virginity if they're not. I was hoping people would be mature and honest about it but a few kids wrote stupid things like 'i lost my virginity at age 6 to my dad and I liked it' or 'i like men' It was anonymous so I dont really know who wrote what but I had to disregard those because ppl were just being stupid. I've surveyed about a hundred ppl so far. but yeah, so that was yesterday. There's not much else too exciting about my week. I think it was Tuesday, somebody stole our lunch table. It just vanished completely. THat was sorta silly;P
Today I went to church to play maracas and a cow bell for the children's eve service rehearsel. It was just me and jenna beth klein. She had been entrusted with the playing of the triangle ;-). After I was done with my maracaing I held the wilson's little baby for awhile, and changed her diaper and put new clothes on her because she was still in her pjs hehe. She is so adorable. And today she was the happiest most content little baby in the world in her little pink overalls. how cute. makes me want to have children. But not yet. No, not for a long time. Right now I am content to borrow other people's children. hehe. Hehe...today a little girl ran into the kitchen while i was serving juice with snot running down to like...her chin. and she goes 'do u have a tih-shoe?' (hehe I spelled it wrong on purpose) and I was like oh dear..so I found her a tissue and took care of the matter, and then I held it up to her nose and went 'blow' and I realized...I can still remember when adults used to do taht to me. hehe. I can remember them telling me to blow my nose and for some reason i never wanted to, so I would never blow. But this little girl was very obedient and her nose running problem was temporarily solved. hehe. yeah...I'm running out of things to talk about I guess. I watched the second lord of the rings last night. I can't wait to see the third one! I think I"m goign with my family to see it tomarrow. But right now I should start organizing. I enjoy organizing and I actually have time to do it. :D so thats where I am. Around 4:45 somebody's getting married, and apparantly ppl like music at their weddings ;) so I, together with a floetist, will be taking care of that for them. thats it for now.

I dont remember when I wrote in this last...I had a pretty good weekend. It started Friday when I woke up pretty early, despite my day off of school, to do a bunch of stuff and then make cookies. I made sooooooooooooooo many cookies. Mike came over around 3 or 4 and helped me make 'em. I was so sick of cookies by the end of the day. I was exhausted too. exHAUSTed. At 8 we went to see Chris's band at the warp. Elliott came too. Chris's band was pretty good. He is awesome at guitar, and although the vocals 4 his band weren't the best, I enjoyed his screaming :-P It was also funny when he dedicated that song to elliott. Mike H-from-marian's band played too. I only caught the last half of that though. They were also pretty good. After that Chris and Elliott ran off somewhere so mike and I just drove around and then went home until chris and elliott called ot say they were at chris's then mike left.

Saturday I had performathon in Crystal Lake. We forgot stands but it was ok. We used chairs. The hair lady gave us 40 bucks. Yay for teh hair lady. Sarah gave me a chrismas present :-) it was a scarf. yay for christmas presents. after that we had some tour meeting, then I drove my sister to my grandma's to help set up her christmas decorations. I went over to the maxson's to find miek and my cell phone. Elliott and Chris were playing guitar. They really need to start a band they're so good! chris had another show at 7 so mike was going to drive to my house so I could drop off my sister then we were going to go see chris's show...but then my dad got all stupid and didn't want me going to wherever it was so mike and I went to the schubrings instead...after I locked my keys in my car at my grandmas that is...the schubrings live in sharon, wisconsin. It was some fun times there. beth, matthew, and jenni sang a bunch of camp songs practicing for sunday and whatnot, and I tried to mentally learn the ones I dind't know. They had Bob the fake campfire set up and everything ;-) Then we all got drunk...haha j/k but thats what my parents THOUGHT was going on. Matthew to my parents: 'I'd shake your hand but Im still a little hung over from last night...' too bad he didn't REALLY say taht. I would have cried....from laughing so hard that is. Elliott was supposed to show up but he got lost on the way because he thought I said 12 instead of 120...or that was his excuse anyway. The fact is, elliottquest got lost. Hehe. We passed him arriving like 2 seconds from the schubrings house though as we were leaving. When we got to my house, it was like..12 something so we went straight to bed we had to get up at like...6:30 sunday morning

sunday mornign we went to church, which was fun because we all sang. And indoor campfire between services :D The first service went really smoothly, except elliott almost dropped his guitar once...hehe...the second service, we ended lord light the fire again too soon because matthew just had to go and make fun of the way I was folding my hands...and then the whole singing songs in jenni's car during the sermon and laughing a little too much at traditional communion practices before going up to take communion. Guess it's not really good to make fun of communion is it...the object was to get ppl to want to come to camp phillip, not to make them see how blasphemus (sp?) we all are..hehe...but anyway...it was a good church service. Afterwards it was cheese sticks and buying gloves for a poor man, and then mike and I and 'our field' haha...then I fell asleep for a good four hours, woke up for two hours and went back to sleep...
yesterday I came home after 7th hour because I wans't feeling so hot and I wanted to study for constitution instead of goign to spanish and government class...but I ended up falling asleep until like...3 or 4 anyway...then I did my hw and studied for constitution a bit. I think I did ok, I only guessed on like...19...and you could get 30 wrong and still pass. Now I have a ton of homework. Blah.

Sarah, looking up from magazine: ‘do random words ever just pop into your head?’
me, looking thoughtful: hmmm….PICKLE!
sarah: hahaha…no…like….ESPALDA!
me: what u mean random SPANISH words just pop into your head?
Sarah: hehe…sometimes…but…it’s just that I looked over there and thought….BUFFALO!
Amber, falling backwards: WHOA….the back of that chair was a lot farther back than I though it was
Sarah: You’re lucky it had a back
Amber: well, if it didn’t have a back, it wouldn’t be a chair
Sarah: There are chairs without backs!
Amber: they’re called stools silly

What was that mysterious purple streak on the table anyway?

hehe fun times @ kalahari over thanksgiving break. the pools and hot tubs and chillin in the lobby with my cousin were great but thanksgiving dinner was not so hot. Thanksgiving dinner at the grandparents could definitely kick it's @$$ any day. :-P

I got back from kalahari on Friday, and spent the night at my grandma's with sarah and autumn. Sarah randomly decided she needed shampoo. COuldn't wash her hair with out it, apparantly *shakes head* ;-) then she decided she needed me to drive her to get it, so being the helpful cousin that I am I hauled her over to walgreens. I was on the phone with mike at the time as well. Driving while on the phone. I shouldn't do that. Sarah kept making me laugh, I was in a weird mood and she's a funny girl.

Saturday I watched the sand lot on tv. forrrrr evvvvvvvvvvvvv errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr forrrrrrrrr evvvvvvvvvvvvv errrrrrrrrrrr...
good movie, good movie.

Sunday I went to church. I am way excited for next weekend. Camp Phillip campfire between services! And Beth and Matthew are coming, and the Schubrings invited me over the night before. Fun times, I can't wait. After church I went to wlc and went to oscar's with Mike. Then after wrestling my cd player for awhile we came back and hung out in elliott's room for awhile...then I was supposed to go to an audition workshop thing but got lost...I ran into Beth and expressed to her my lost situation. She didn't know what to tell me. FINALLY, I found the thing and caught the last 25 minutes of it. Then I went back up to Elliott's room w/Mike. Fun times there. Eventually I went home, getting lost several times on the way. It's lucky I recognized the Sentry in Walworth.
(i was never really supposed to hit walworth in the first place. Darn 120.) I pulled a U turn where it said no u-turns too. (there was nobody on the highway at all though, it was one of those little police lanes between highways. tsk tsk) Yesterday was a sad day in school because Lucas Adams died. I went to the wake today with my family because my grandma knows his grandma really well and my mom used to teach his sister corey. Last night I organized my life and then had a hilarious conversation online with Tim involving cheese and a blow torch.
yep. Sorry I left so much out about my week but I have 29 post its I need to do and a stuff load of homework. SO I hope that will do for now.
farewell
Things may come to those who wait. But only the things left by those who hustle.
