Have you ever thought about all the modern conveniences we completely take for granted? Today as I was getting out of the shower, I grabbed a towel and thought to myself, "man, I underappreciate towels." I mean, I don't consider myself rich, yet I have a closet FULL of fuzzy things devoted to the express purpose of absorbing water off my naked body. I started wondering what people used in the "olden days" for towels. Did they have towels or blankets devoted exclusively to the drying of their nekked bits? Did they dry off with blankets that they also used for other things, like sleeping? Did they crawl straight from the river into their clothes and just remain damp for awhile? Or did they streak naked for awhile until the sun dried their flesh naturally?
I think the last option sounds like the most fun, at least in the summer.
So. Towels. A miracle of modern convenience? Or an unnecessary indulgence preventing us from the blissful enjoyment of after shower nakedness?
Discuss.
